Congrats to Ajoura and Laquan, the winners of the WrestleMania Reading Challenge here at the library!

They won free books from the library and a t-shirt and DVD from World Wrestling Entertainment. Their winning essays will be sent to the regional competitions, and hopefully from there to the national championships in Orlando, Florida, where they could ringside seats at WrestleMania 24 . Good luck, guys!

WrestleMania!

Just a quick reminder that the WrestleMania Reading Challenge will ending soon, so those of you who are participating, be sure to finish up your reading, log, and essay and turn it all in before January 14, 2008.
If you haven’t yet signed up, you still have time! All you have to do is read 10 books by January 14 and keep a log of what you read, and you will be eligible for a prize from the WWE! In addition, you can write a 300-word essay about “Why WrestleMania Got Me Reading”, which will be entered in an essay contest at the Carnegie Library of Homestead. The winning essays will be entered in a regional competition that could win you a trip to WrestleMania 24 in Orlando, Florida!

Come see the Book Tree!

On Thursday, December 6 we made a Christmas Tree made completely out of books!

Gaming News

AreYA Gaming?, the CLoH weekly gaming club, has moved to 5:30-6:45 pm on Wednesdays.

There are currently five PC games available: The Sims, Miss Popularity, Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. You get twenty minutes to play these games.

We will play a different game for Playstation 2 every week. If you would like to play a specific game, please let Miss Eva know, and she will try to locate a copy. You can play the PS2 game for 10 minutes.
