What is the Teen BLAH Club?

Well, BLAH stands for

Books,

Libraries,

Activities, &

Humans.

We have the first three, we just need more Humans, specifically teens! It will be great fun, so please stop by at 5:00pm on Tuesdays for fun activities at the Carnegie Library of Homestead!

The first several meetings will be GAMING nights! Come play video games at the library!

Just a quick reminder that the Teen Summer Reading Program is kicking off on Wednesday, June 18 at 3pm!

The theme this year is Metamorphosis @ Your Library, and we will be doing all kinds of cool activities and programs.

You can sign up online for the Summer Reading Program here.

The first program after the kick-party is a Teen Movie Time on Thursday, June 19th at 5pm! In honor of the summer reading theme, we are going to watch a monster movie!

Vote for the movie YOU want to watch on or before Tuesday, June 17th. You can fill out a ballot at the library or you can leave a comment on this blog!

Summer Reading Announcement

Hey everyone!

Teen Summer Reading will kick off on Wednesday, June 18th, at 3pm. Mark your calendars!

To celebrate, we will be decorating and altering tshirts to make them our own.

All the supplies (including the tshirts!) will be provided, so just bring yourself, your creativity, and maybe some of your friends:)

Teen Movie Time - Thursday, May 15

Congrats to the National Champion!

Ajoura Gwinn, one of our local teens who was named a WrestleMania Reading Challenge Regional Champion back in February, just won the National Competition in Orlando, Florida! For all of her hard work, she won ringside seats at WrestleMania XXIV and got to rub elbows with wrestlers and celebrities like Raven-Symone! Be sure to congratulate Ajoura if you see her around!
