Starting in November, there will be new weekly programs in the AreYA (Young Adult Area). Here is the schedule:

Wednesdays are for GAMING!
5pm-6pm in the Board Room
There will be a variety of PC and PS2 Games to play, as well as snacks and socializing!

Thursdays are for ANYTHING!
5:00pm - 6:30pm in the AreYA
1st Thursday of the Month – Games Night
2nd Thursday of the Month – Crafts Night
3rd Thursday of the Month – Teen Movie Time (5-7pm)(in the Board Room)
4th Thursday of the Month – Art Project

Fridays are for Homework (and other projects too)
4:00pm - 5:00pm in the AreYA

Teen Read Week is Here!

Teen Read week is October 14-20!

There are lots of neat things to do to celebrate this week!

• Membership Drive - Win Best Buy and Movie Theater Gift Cards!

If you: register for a library card, bring a friend to the library to sign up for a library card, check out YA books, check out a Teen Top Ten 2007 nominee, vote online for a Teen Top Ten nominee, leave a comment on our MySpace page, or leave a comment on this blog you will earn tickets towards the Gift Card Raffle. The more tickets you collect, the better chance you have of winning!

• Dance Dance Revolution Party (Wednesday, October 17 @ 5pm)

Not only will there be DDR, but there will be games, crafts, snacks, and the chance to hang out with all your friends!

• Teen Movie Time (Thursday, October 18 @ 5pm)

You voted, and now you get to watch The Underclassman starring Nick Cannon! There will be pop and snacks to go around, so don't miss this fun event!

All you have to do is read 10 books and keep a log of your reading. Everyone who turns in a completed log by January 14, 2008 will get a prize.
